Shoresh (Hebrew for ‘root’) is a ministry that seeks to nourish the Church by teaching the biblical heritage we share with the Jewish people, restoring the Jewishness of the Christian
faith.

As 21st Century Christians we are far removed from the first-century world of Jesus and the cultural context of His ministry. Understanding our own Jewish roots gives us a clear picture of Jesus, the Jewish Messiah.

The goal of Shoresh teaching programs is to shed light on the Jewish life of Jesus and its implications for Christian discipleship. Shoresh offers programs designed to deepen Christian discipleship and foster a loving witness to the Jewish people.

NOURISHMENT FROM THE ROOT
OUR THREEFOLD MISSION...

1. To nourish the Church by teaching the Jewish roots of the Christian faith in light of the Hebraic context of the whole of Scripture, encouraging the Church to embrace the biblical heritage she shares with the Jewish people.
    
2. To create a bridge between Jews and Christians by raising Christian awareness of God’s plan and purposes for Israel and the Church, and by encouraging Christian prayer and support for
   Jewish people around the world.
    
3. To encourage Christians to foster loving relationships in the Jewish community, sensitively proclaiming Jesus as the promised Messiah.
